Mesh adaptation to a solution

In this example, the aim is to illustrate mesh adaptation with respect to metric data in 3D. Input data are the mesh sphere.mesh and the solution file sphere.sol pictured below.

Mesh adaptation can be performed using the following command line:

mmg3d_O3 sphere.mesh

The resulting mesh is displayed below.
